Offenbach am Main, August 07, 2026 – Hyundai is expanding the award-winning IONIQ 9 line-up with a distinctive flagship variant. The all-electric three-row SUV, built on Hyundai Motor Group's E-GMP architecture and defined by its signature ‘Aerosthetic’ design, gains an even more refined character through the new Calligraphy Black Ink trim.
Further elevating its visual presence, Hyundai's flagship model is finished with a carefully curated combination of black exterior and interior design elements enhancing its eye-catching appearance while retaining the luxurious feel, generous equipment levels and sophisticated driving experience that have earned IONIQ 9 recognition across Europe, including German Premium Car of the Year 2026, Best Seven-Seater at the 2026 Parkers New Car Awards, Best 7-Seater Electric SUV at the 2025 TopGear.com Electric Awards, and World's Best Large SUV at the 2026 Women's Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) Awards.

What is already included in the existing Calligraphy specification?
Calligraphy Black Ink builds on the already extensive specification of IONIQ 9's flagship Calligraphy trim, which includes features such as a Nappa leather interior, distinctive Calligraphy design elements, and an optional six-seat configuration with Universal Island 2.0 allowing customers to tailor the vehicle to their lifestyle and everyday needs.

To ensure Hyundai's flagship model stands out, Calligraphy Black Ink is distinguished by a matte black Hyundai front emblem, dedicated 21-inch alloy wheels and a gloss black rear garnish.
